Coffee or tea? Coffee... gimme all the espresso!

Go to beauty products? glossier EVERYTHING

What’s one thing that’s always in your handbag? Aside from a diaper? Brow gel.

Favorite indulgence? Oreos and peanut butter hands DOWN

Girl crush? Alison Mosshart

Go to outfit? vintage tee, converse and my worn down Levi’s

Favorite brand? Vintage everything.

Have you caught yourself repeating something your parents have said to you? YE, my dad had a whistle for us in public that signaled it was time to go I’ve done that kid a few times haha.

Did you always want to do what you’re doing now? I don’t know if I knew what I always wanted to do. But I knew that I wanted to do something that allowed me to express my creativity. And I feel like I found a good outlet for that.

What is the biggest challenge you face in time management? I bounce from task to task before wrapping up what I’ve started. I get too excited about the next project.

What stigma about motherhood do you wish would diminish? That moms should be modest.

How do you tackle Found Goods Vintage & being a mama?Under a lot of stress lol. But really, the only way to tackle something like this successfully is to ask for help. That’s the only thing that has given me good results thus far.

What coping mechanisms you found helpful with regard to lack of sleep and fatigue? Coffee? I can’t sit here and tell you I have a meal or vitamin regimen. I’m just not one of those kinds of ladies.

Have you made any major changes in your outlook or approach to life after becoming a parent? I’ve become more comfortable with the fact that most of the stuff I want to get done in a day is just not going to get done. This has changed me from a person who used to be a pretty strict planner and stuck to the plan into someone who is more fluid and goes with the flow (more often, definitely not always).

You’re in the store with a full cart and your baby starts crying frantically…what do you do? Put the boob in his mouth and keep shopping because it’s no one else’s business what my kid is doing.

Are your children named after anyone?  Nope! Ira’s name was inspired by the storyteller Ira Glass. Smith’s name was inspired by a street we lived close to.

What do you do when you’re not working? Wipe butts. Sick boogers. Try for naps. Mostly sit in my car while the kids are asleep and wish that they fell asleep inside.

What are your non-work related passions?  Music. I used to play a lot of music. While I don’t have the time to write and play music anymore, I find music to be a great outlet for me.

What is your parenting mantra? Be open to making changes.

What mindset helps make you successful?  Just going for it. I’ve taken on a lot of challenges I wasn’t sure I was ready for, and just taking the leap has made all the difference. It’s shown me I can do a lot more than I tell myself I can.

Most memorable moment? When Noah and I had only been dating for a few months, we went up to Whistler, BC for a little get away. When we checked in, they started calling him Dr. Davis and me Mrs. Davis. Apparently it was our two year wedding anniversary! Every time we left our room we would come back to bottles of champagne (which we didn’t drink) and chocolate covered strawberries or rose pedals across the floor. What did I get myself into? I guess the romance worked because this was also the trip that we got pregnant with Ira on.
In all seriousness though, it was probably the births of both of my sons. Growing them inside of me and being a part of their journey into this world. These moments have forever defined and changed me for the better.

What’s next? I’m really looking forward to growing my business and watching my children grow up. It seems like my life has always been full of unexpected changes and events, so I’m not planning for anything as much as I am getting ready for the ride.

General advice for anyone reading this? Give yourself a break. There’s always tomorrow to get that thing done. Enjoy where you’re at right now. Have more sex.
