The Tomato Girl aesthetic has been everywhere this summer, but we gave it a Candier twist with Bloody Marys, yummy luxe brunch buffet, and candle displays that doubled as perfect brunch décor. The Glass Ceiling, with its rich green seating and panoramic windows, set the perfect rooftop backdrop for mixing food, fragrance, and a lot of gossip.

What is The Glass Ceiling NYC?

Located in the heart of NoMad, Manhattan, The Glass Ceiling is a rooftop cocktail lounge and events space with panoramic views of the Empire State Building. With its botanical design, indoor-outdoor seating, and a retractable glass ceiling, the venue feels like a secret garden floating above the city.
But the name means more than just architecture. “The glass ceiling” has long symbolized the invisible barriers holding women and underrepresented communities back from rising beyond a certain level. The rooftop reclaims that metaphor, celebrating empowerment and inclusivity while providing a glamorous space to gather.
The venue launched in partnership with Luminary, a career and personal growth platform created to support women across industries. Together, they’ve built a space that’s as purposeful as it is beautiful, making it the perfect setting for Candier’s Spicy Like Brunch Gossip launch brunch.

Candier's Best Bloody Mary Recipe:

Ingredients (per serving):

• 1 ½ oz vodka

• 3 oz tomato juice

• ½ oz fresh lemon juice

• 2–3 dashes hot sauce (like Tabasco)

• 2–3 dashes Worcestershire sauce

• 1 pinch celery salt

• 1 pinch black pepper

• 1 pinch smoked paprika (optional, adds depth)

• Ice cubes

For garnish (choose your favorites):

• Celery stalk

• Lemon or lime wedge

• Green olives

• Pickles, cornichons, or pickled green beans
